After being humbled by Virginia Tech last week, the Aggies dismantled the Hawkeyes to improve to 2-1. All 3 A&M quarterbacks saw action in the blowout. McGee was doing just fine, perfect actually, going 9 of 9 for 151 yards and 2 TDs and rushing 3 yards for a TD before he was taken out of the game for Elbow Bursitis at the end of the 1st Quarter. Jerrod Johnson took over, going 6 of 11 for 95 yards and 2 INTs, and rushing for 67 yards and 2 TDs before he was taken out of the game with a Torn Quadricep. Ryant Tannehill took over for the 4th Quarter and went 4 of 9 for 61 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT, and scrambling for 18 yards himself. The Legion of Doom tight end tandem of Martellus Bennett and Joey Thomas were nearly unstoppable and therefore were the only 2 receiving targets. Thomas had 10 catches for 173 yards and 2 TDs while Bennett had 9 catches for 134 yards and a TD. The Aggies scored on their first possession, picked off the first Hawkeye pass of the game to set up another TD, and then Chris Harrington returned a fumble on the Hawkeyes' second possession to quickly put the Aggies up 21-0. The Aggies built a 28-point lead before the Hawkeyes finally scored in the 2nd Quarter. The Aggies answered right back with another touchdown to make it a 29-point lead since Iowa missed the PAT. The Hawkeyes would score once more in the 3rd quarter, and the Aggies added 2 more touchdowns for good measure. McGee is slated to return to action against Oregon next week, but Johnson is out for the next 8 weeks. The Aggies are seeking their first road win before conference play begins.
